Description of Friedrich Justin Bertuch's Allgemeines Teutsches Garten-Magazin
These nice hand-colored engravings are from a work entitled Allgemeines Teutsches Garten-Magazin, oder gemeinnützige Beiträge für alle Theile des praktischen Gartenwesens. It was published by Friedrich Justin Bertuch and Johann Vokler in Weimar, Germany in 1804-1811. The work is known as a very important German gardening magzine which featured garden plans, houses, and the like in addition to the fruits seen here. They are on fine chain-linked paper that measures ~7 3/4" by 9 3/4".
