Hendrik Cause's De Koninglycke Hovenier

These "sharp and very well cut" (Hunt 344) engravings are from the work De Koninglycke Hovenier by Dutch engraver Hendrik Cause. It was published in 1676 by Marcus Doornick in Amsterdam. This work is considered "The most attractive of the Dutch seventeenth-century gardening books and contains fine plates reminiscent of de Passe" (de Belder). They are on fine chain-linked paper that measures ~ 8" by 12".
