Description of Edward Donovan's Insects of India

These beautiful hand-colored entomological engravings are from the work entitled An Epitome of the Natural History of the Insects of India authored by Edward Donovan. These first edition prints were published for the author by T. Bentley in London in 1838. They are on Whatman watermaked paper that measures ~ 11 1/2" by 8 3/4".
