These beautiful hand-colored lithographs are from Jane Loudon's work The Ladies' Flower Garden of Bulbous Plants. The work is one in the The Ladies' Flower Garden series that grouped plants according to their nature: annuals, perennials, bulbous, wild, and greenhouse. Loudon was one of the most respected garden writers of her time. This series helped to usher in the Victorian period of botanical illustration in England. The prints are on fine paper measuring approimately 9" by 11 1/4".
