Description of J.D. Meyer's Quadruped Work
This detailed and very rare work on natural history was done by J. D. Meyer in 1748. Each print shows an animal depicted in its natural habitat as well as its skeleton. Meyer attempted to accurately and scientifically portray each specimen which was a large accomplishment in his time. Each print is on fine chain-linked and watermarked paper measuring ~ 11 3/4" by 17 1/4".
