Description of George Richardson's The New Vitruvius Britannicus Description

These detailed aquatint engravings are from George Richardson's work titled The New Vitruvius Britannicus; Consisting Of Plans And Elevations Of Modern Buildings, Public And Private, Erected In Great Britain By The Most Celebrated Architects. The work was published in Paris in 1802 and was printed by T. Bensley. Richardson was an 18th century English architect and designer. These engravings are of buildings by leading architects of the time including Robert Adam, Robert Mylne, James and Samuel Wyatt, Sir John Soane, Carlo Bonomi and John Carr of York. These woven architectural prints are 15" by 21 1/4" the fold-outs measure 27 1/2" by 21 1/4."
