These charming engravings are from Crispin de Passe’s Hortu Floridus published in Amsterdam in 1614-1615. A contemporary of Besler, de Passe arranged his work according to the seasons but in a much smaller format. These copperplate engravings are on fine chain linked paper with Latin text on the verso.
